This section is for 14 – 19 year olds who are looking for information on what it is like to work in different job and career areas. There’s lots of information out there about what jobs you can do and the skills you need. This careers section is different because it focuses on what careers and companies there are in Spalding and the surrounding area. The companies are grouped into catergories which link to the new 14-19 education options that will be available once Spalding and Holbeach’s new Sixth Form Centres are open in 2008. Horticulture

A career in horticulture can involve you in a huge range of activities, from growing and potting up seedlings to international marketing, from travelling in search of rare and unusual plants to creating CD-Roms, from designing a back garden to creating a nature reserve, or making a golf course, from managing glasshouses or selling pot plants at the nursery gates to moving grown trees....
